Breast augmentation
in Scottsdale.

Breast augmentation adds volume and can change breast shape. You may be considering fuller breasts, restoring volume after pregnancy or weight loss, or addressing a difference in size.

More volume, a lift, or both?

These procedures address different concerns. Understanding the difference is a useful place to start.

  • Breast augmentation

Adds fullness and can change breast shape. Adding volume alone may not address significant sagging.

  • Breast lift

Raises and reshapes existing breast tissue. Some patients consider a lift together with augmentation.

  1. Describe the change

Explain the size and shape you have in mind, along with what you want to preserve.

  2. Compare your options

Discuss implant choices, whether a lift is relevant, and the limits of each approach.

  3. Plan before deciding

Review risks, recovery, ongoing care, and the cost of the proposed surgery.

What affects the cost?

Surgical prices are discussed individually rather than published as a price list. The procedure and any additional surgery, such as a lift, affect what needs to be included in an estimate.

Confirm which charges are included and which may be separate. Ask for a written breakdown covering:

  • The surgeon
  • Implants
  • Anesthesia
  • The facility
  • Follow-up

Recovery planning

Planning your recovery.

Plan for help at home and time away from work. Driving, lifting, and exercise may each have different restrictions.

  1. Before surgery

    Plan practical support

Ask about transport, help at home, and time away from responsibilities.

  2. Early recovery

    Follow your care instructions

Understand dressings, any drains, medication instructions, follow-up, and symptoms that need a call to the surgical team.

  3. Returning to routines

    Check before increasing activity

Discuss separate milestones for work, driving, lifting, and exercise. Arrange help with household tasks and caring responsibilities.

Recovery varies with the operation and the individual. Follow the instructions given by your surgical team.

Risks and long-term care.

Understand the alternatives and limitations as well as the potential benefits. Results vary, and surgery cannot guarantee a particular appearance.

Review the device-specific patient decision checklist and monitoring plan with your surgeon. Possible risks include:

  • Infection or bleeding
  • Altered sensation
  • Scarring
  • Implant rupture
  • Capsular contracture (tight scar tissue around an implant)
  • Further surgery
  • Rare implant-associated cancers, including BIA-ALCL
  • Reported systemic symptoms

Breast augmentation questions.

Do breast implants last a lifetime?

No. Future surgery may be needed for complications, replacement, or removal. Ask about ongoing monitoring, device information, and the possible costs of future care.

How do I choose a size?

Start with the proportions and changes you have in mind. Ask how your tissue and chest dimensions affect the options, rather than choosing by cup size alone.

How much recovery time should I plan for?

Ask for guidance that accounts for your operation, work, and responsibilities at home. Different activities may have different restrictions; a website cannot provide personal clearance.
